Our wedding day was a rainy Friday in October. The fall colors were at their peak in Washington, and it truly felt like a harvest celebration. We chatted about the miracles and challenges that got us here, we welcomed a new season in our relationship, and we ate until we were very, very full. It was an intimate celebration that filled both our bellies and our hearts.

The ceremony was packed with meaning to the delight of our tiny group. The judge at the Seattle courthouse skillfully wove elements of our unique story throughout the short ritual. He reminded us how the rings we wear underwent tremendous pressure, which transformed raw materials into the precious stones and metals we see today. He concluded by telling us that we, too, will be transformed by the new challenges we take on together. 

We are so grateful for the support of family and friends as we embrace newlywed life! When we reflect on the events that brought us together and the adventures of the last (almost) two years, we are in awe.
